Using the service means accepting these Terms
By accessing the website, completing a form, uploading documents, purchasing, downloading, or otherwise using SII services, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms.
SII / LEGAL DOCUMENT · 01
These Terms of Service govern your access to, purchase of, and use of the Standard Integrity Institute (SII) website, forms, document-review services, results, reports, digital products, and related services.
This summary is a reading guide and does not replace the full Terms below. If a summary differs from the full Terms on a specific matter, the full Terms and applicable policies control.
By accessing the website, completing a form, uploading documents, purchasing, downloading, or otherwise using SII services, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms.
SII reviews quotation documents for completeness, clarity, comparability, and review readiness. It is not a construction, design, supervision, legal, or valuation service.
You must ensure that you are authorised to upload quotations, images, attachments, drawings, contracts, or other materials and to permit SII to process them for the service.
SII ratings, reports, and recommendations are for pre-signing reference only and do not guarantee pricing, construction quality, performance capability, refunds, litigation outcomes, or any specific result.
Before using the service, distinguish between document issues SII can help organise and matters that still require legal, engineering, valuation, or other professional judgement.
The following provisions constitute the SII Terms of Service. Read them in order or use the contents to go directly to the section most relevant to you.
01By accessing, browsing, submitting information, purchasing, downloading, or otherwise using any website, form, report, digital product, or related service provided by Standard Integrity Institute ("SII"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, Disclaimer, and any other policies expressly incorporated by reference on this website.
02If you do not agree to all or any part of these Terms, do not use this website, upload documents, submit forms, purchase products, or use any SII service.
03If you use the service on behalf of a company, organisation, group, or other legal entity, you represent and warrant that you have authority to accept these Terms on that entity's behalf, and references to "you" include both that entity and its authorised users.
01You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract in order to use the service. If applicable law requires permission from a guardian, legal representative, employer, company, or other rights holder, you are responsible for obtaining that permission before using the service.
02You agree that the name, contact details, email address, payment information, project information, document content, and other information you submit are truthful, complete, lawful, and current.
03You are responsible for consequences arising from incorrect, outdated, incomplete, or unauthorised information, including failed report delivery, affected analysis results, transaction disputes, third-party rights disputes, or other loss or damage.
01SII's core service is structured document review, document-maturity assessment, risk indicators, review suggestions, comparison-basis reminders, and related digital content for renovation, construction, procurement, and other related quotation documents.
02Services may include, without limitation, Free Key Results, quotation-document analysis, review reports, risk summaries, rating-system explanations, audit-criteria explanations, educational content, digital templates, email notifications, and other supporting tools.
03SII may add, modify, suspend, remove, or discontinue all or part of the services at any time for operational, technical, risk-management, legal-compliance, or product-planning reasons, without guaranteeing the continued availability of any particular feature, process, format, or delivery method.
01SII is not a construction contractor, designer, construction supervisor, architect, engineer, valuer, lawyer, accountant, insurer, government authority, or legal representative.
02SII analyses, ratings, reports, summaries, recommendations, and website content do not constitute legal advice, financial advice, accounting advice, tax advice, engineering appraisal, price appraisal, construction-quality assurance, performance-capability assurance, or any legally binding professional determination.
03SII ratings, explanations, risk indicators, and recommendations assess the readability, completeness, comparability, transparency, and review readiness of the document itself. They do not endorse or determine any contractor's character, credit, integrity, performance capability, construction quality, or final project outcome.
04Even if a document receives a higher maturity level after review, this does not mean that risks relating to the actual project, performance, final price, variations, construction quality, or disputes will not arise.
01If you are required to create an account, complete a form, enter an email address, submit contact information, or use a particular feature, you are responsible for safeguarding your login details, devices, authentication methods, and communication channels, and for activity occurring through your account, email address, or contact information.
02You agree to notify SII promptly if you become aware of unauthorised use, account irregularities, a risk of data exposure, or an incorrect submission.
03SII is not responsible for delays, undelivered results, or limitations in analysis caused by an incorrect email address or contact information, failure to check messages or spam folders, incomplete payment, or incomplete documents provided by you.
01You represent and warrant that you have the lawful right to obtain, use, disclose, upload, and license any documents, images, attachments, drawings, quotation information, contract information, conversation records, supplemental explanations, or other content that you upload, submit, transmit, or authorise SII to access.
02You grant SII and service providers reasonably necessary to deliver the service a limited, non-exclusive, sublicensable, worldwide, royalty-free licence, solely for the purposes of providing, maintaining, improving, analysing, and operating the service, to process, analyse, convert formats, store, display, summarise, generate reports from, and deliver service results using such content.
03You must not upload content that you are not authorised to process; that infringes third-party rights; that is unlawful or subject to confidentiality restrictions; or that contains malicious code, viruses, ransomware, spyware, or other material that may compromise service security.
04You are responsible for rights, confidentiality, personal-data, copyright, trade-secret, or other disputes or losses arising from content you upload, and you agree to hold SII harmless from resulting loss or damage to the extent permitted by law.
01Some services may be paid services. Prices, plans, payment terms, delivery methods, service scope, and limitations are governed by the information shown on the website, checkout page, form, product page, order page, or related notice at the time you place the order.
02You agree to pay all applicable fees, taxes, and processing charges when due. If a payment fails, is declined, reversed, disputed, or appears abnormal, SII may suspend delivery, restrict use, cancel the order, or require payment to be made again.
03Refunds, cancellations, refund eligibility, refund limitations, refund procedures, and non-refundable circumstances are governed by the Refund Policy. Where a product, service, or checkout page contains more specific terms, those more specific terms apply.
04Unless mandatory law provides otherwise or SII expressly agrees, a refund may not be available once delivery has been completed, human or automated processing has begun, a report has been sent, a download has been provided, a digital product has been activated, or substantive services have been performed.
01You must not use the service in any unlawful, fraudulent, infringing, harassing, misleading, abusive, security-compromising, or third-party-harming manner.
02You must not interfere with, disrupt, test, bypass, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service, servers, databases, review processes, automated systems, payment systems, or other users' data.
03You must not scrape, copy, resell, reverse engineer, mirror, reproduce, publicly distribute, or commercially exploit service content at scale, except where expressly permitted by law.
04You must not use the service to create or present false endorsements, false reviews, false certifications, claims of government recognition, court determinations, contractor blacklists, or other representations that may mislead third parties.
05You must not attempt to infer SII's complete scoring weights, internal standards, confidential decision mechanisms, or review logic by analysing public information, rules pages, report formats, or other materials in order to manipulate document design, evade risk indicators, or build a competing service.
01Except for original content that you retain rights to under applicable law, the SII website, brand name, marks, interface design, report layouts, review framework, written content, graphics, data arrangement, risk classifications, rule wording, indicator names, analytical structure, and other service content are protected intellectual property owned by SII or its licensors.
02Without SII's prior written consent, you may not reproduce, publicly transmit, adapt, translate, distribute, sell, sublicense, create a database from, develop a competing product from, or otherwise use SII content beyond reasonable personal use.
03Within reasonable limits, you may use a case-specific report provided to you by SII to understand your own project, for internal discussion, negotiation, communication, or consultation with professionals. You must not publicly distribute it in a misleading or out-of-context manner, remove warnings, or present it as a legal appraisal, engineering appraisal, or official certification.
01The service may integrate with or depend on third-party tools, payment processors, cloud storage, document-processing services, data-processing services, domain services, form systems, email systems, automation tools, or other external providers.
02SII does not control the availability, continuity, security, content, feature changes, policy changes, data-processing practices, or outages of third-party services; however, SII will use reasonable care in selecting appropriate providers for service delivery.
03When you use third-party payment, form, cloud, email, or other external services, you may also be subject to that third party's terms of service, privacy policy, and usage rules.
01To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. SII does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, completely secure, completely timely, fully meet your expectations, or produce identical results for every case.
02You understand and agree that document-review results depend on the content, completeness, clarity, and external-information conditions of the materials you provide. Incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, poor-quality scanned, missing-page, incorrectly entered, obscured, unclear photographed, or otherwise limited source material may affect analysis results and recommendations.
03Please also review the full SII Disclaimer. Where these Terms and the Disclaimer both address a particular matter, they should be read and applied together.
01To the maximum extent permitted by law, SII and its officers, employees, partners, suppliers, and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profit, goodwill, opportunity, data, decision-making opportunity, negotiation outcome, project delay, payment dispute, construction dispute, or third-party claim.
02Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded in full, SII's total liability to you for a single event or series of related events is limited to the lower of (a) the total amount you actually paid to SII for the relevant service during the 12 months preceding the event, or (b) NT$3,000.
03The foregoing limitations do not apply to liabilities that applicable law expressly prohibits from being limited or excluded.
01If your breach of these Terms, unlawful use of the service, infringement of third-party rights, submission of materials you are not authorised to license, provision of false information, or misleading use of an SII report results in a third party making a claim, complaint, investigation, administrative action, lawsuit, or other proceeding against SII, you agree to indemnify and hold SII harmless from reasonable resulting losses, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, investigation costs, administrative expenses, and necessary handling costs, to the extent permitted by law.
02SII may notify you after becoming aware of such circumstances and may reasonably require you to cooperate by providing information, explanations, supporting documents, or other necessary assistance.
01SII may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to all or part of the service if you breach these Terms or another applicable policy; provide false information, infringing materials, unlawful content, or create an abuse risk; experience payment failure, chargeback, refund dispute, or suspected fraud; or where necessary to protect service security, legal compliance, system integrity, or other legitimate operational interests.
02After suspension or termination, SII may retain or delete related data as required or permitted by law, the Privacy Policy, data-retention requirements, dispute-handling needs, or operational-security requirements.
03Provisions concerning fees, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law, and dispute resolution, and any other provisions that by their nature should survive termination, remain effective after termination.
01SII may update these Terms, services, plans, prices, features, processes, policies, product descriptions, delivery methods, or website design from time to time.
02For material changes, SII may provide notice through a website announcement, email, product-page update, form notice, or other reasonable means. Non-material or routine changes may take effect when the website is updated.
03If you continue using the service after updated Terms take effect, you will be treated as having accepted the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you should stop using the service.
01Unless mandatory law provides otherwise, the formation, effectiveness, interpretation, performance, and dispute resolution of these Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan).
02Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service should first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved, and unless mandatory law provides otherwise, the Taiwan Hsinchu District Court will have jurisdiction as the court of first instance.
01If you have questions about these Terms, your order, use of the service, legal notices, data rights, refunds, report content, or other rights claims, please contact SII at the email address below.
